Common questions

How do I share a pin with family and friends?

Open the pin, tap Share, and send the link however you like. Anyone with the link can see everything you've added and leave their own memories — so share it only with people you'd want to see it.

Someone asked to see my pin — what does that mean?

People who find your pin on the map only see a short preview. They can ask for access, and you choose whether to approve or decline them from the pin itself.

How much does it cost?

Exploring the map, viewing pins you've been invited to and leaving memories are free. Placing a pin is a one-off payment per pin, made through the App Store or Google Play. Our first 750 users can place their first pin free.

Can I move a pin?

Yes. Delete it and place it again — deleting a pin gives you your pin back to use again, so moving one costs nothing.

How do I get a refund?

Payments are handled by Apple or Google, so refunds are requested from them: on iPhone at reportaproblem.apple.com, on Android through your Google Play order history. If you're stuck, email us and we'll help.

I forgot my password

On the sign-in screen, enter your email and tap Reset password. We'll email you a link to choose a new one. If you signed in with Google or Apple, you don't have a password with us — just use the same button again.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open the account menu (👤) and choose Delete my account. This permanently deletes your account, your pins and everything on them. Memories you left on other people's pins stay there for their family, but your email address is removed from them. See our privacy policy for details.

If you no longer have the app, email support@elements4.io from the email address you signed up with, asking us to delete your account. We'll confirm it's you, then delete it within 30 days. You can also ask us to delete only some of your information (for example one pin, or your photos) without closing your account.

Something on a pin is wrong or upsetting

If a pin is about someone you knew and you believe it shouldn't be there, or anything you see is offensive or inaccurate, email us with the person's name and roughly where the pin is. We'll look into it quickly and sensitively.
